I established my workshop at Kigbeare Studios and Gallery in Devon over four years ago. I previously studied under the renowned ceramicist Lisa Hammond MBE, following my graduation in Contemporary Ceramic Practice (BA) Hons. During this period I gained a real insight and appreciation of working in a busy studio pottery and the skills involved in creating functional ware.

My work is thrown using red earthenware clay which is then decorated with slips, oxides and sgrafitto: a technique where I etch into the slip to reveal the clay body underneath.

My ceramics are produced using a traditional process inspired by my rural Devon surroundings. They feature fluid and organic designs which give a contemporary look to a time honoured process.

I am continually developing my range to create a diverse collection of slipware; everyday ceramics that can be used and enjoyed by all.

I am currently an associate member of the Devon Guild of Craftsmen.
